UNDERSTANDING HIDDEN ANATOMY IN ENDODONTICS
The lecture will start describing the advantages of 3d radiology (CBCT) in making diagnosis and treatment plans, over traditional 2d radiography, showing many challenging clinical cases, including non-surgical retreatment.
The lecture will also underline the importance of a correct understanding of anatomy in 3 dimensions, including assessment of canal complexities, and provide useful clinical hints to minimize iatrogenic errors during shaping and cleaning procedures.
It will also show possible benefits of a 3D approach in a minimally invasive cavity design, the advantages of using heat treated instruments, and combining different motions to improve efficiency and safety.
